Neuromodulators (botulinum toxin injections)
Neuromodulators use a purified form of botulinum toxin, a neurotoxin produced
by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, to temporarily relax specific
muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face.
Botox ▼
Wrinkles and fine lines treatment
Botox is a widely popular and FDA-approved injectable treatment that effectively
reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing targeted
facial muscles.
What to expect
A nurse injector will assess your facial anatomy and determine the optimal
injection sites. They may take photos for reference and mark the areas
where the injections will be administered. The treatment area will be
cleansed to ensure it's free of dirt, oils and makeup. A fine needle will
be used to inject small amounts of botulinum toxin into specific muscles
or areas of concern. You might feel a slight pressure or tingling at the
injection sites, but any discomfort is generally brief and minimal.
What to know before
Botulinum toxin takes 3-7 days to start taking effect with the full results
seen at 14 days. The treated muscles gradually relax, reducing the appearance
of wrinkles and lines. The effects of botulinum toxin injections are temporary
and typically last around 3 to 4 months for most people. After this time,
you may notice a gradual return of muscle movement and the reappearance
of wrinkles. Avoid blood thinning agents such as fish oil, ibuprofen,
alcohol, etc. for 7-10 days prior to treatment. Tylenol is okay. Avoid
immunizations 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after treatment. Avoid dental
procedures, even routine cleanings, for 2 weeks before and after treatment.

Dysport ▼
Wrinkes and fine lines treatment
Dysport is similar to Botox, but it has smaller protein molecules. This
causes it to spread more from the injection site, making it advantageous
for larger areas. The choice between the two treatments depends on individual
preferences and treatment goals.

Collagen Biostimulators
Collagen Biostimulators, also known as biostimulatory injectables, are
a cutting-edge solution in the realm of anti-aging treatments. Unlike
traditional dermal fillers that primarily address volume loss, biostimulators
take a different approach.
-
Collagen Stimulation: Biostimulators work by stimulating your skin cells to produce essential
proteins like collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. These proteins play
a crucial role in maintaining skin structure, firmness, and hydration.
-
Slowing Down Aging: By replenishing collagen levels, biostimulators help slow down the aging
process. Even if you don’t see dramatic changes immediately, they
work subtly to prevent further collagen loss and skin sagging.
-
Visible Tightening: Some patients experience clinically visible skin tightening, which is a
remarkable benefit. However, individual results vary based on factors
like age and overall skin health.
Sculptra ▼
Collagen stimulator
Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable collagen stimulator that contains
microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid. Collagen, a fibrous protein, provides
structural support to the skin. It also aids hyaluronic acid in retaining
moisture and elastin for firmness. As we age, collagen diminishes—by
forty, many people have lost over 20% of it. Unlike fillers, Sculptra
stimulates the body’s natural collagen production. Results are gradual,
natural, and subtle, though multiple sessions may be needed.
What to expect
Our skilled nurse injector begins with a thorough facial consultation,
ensuring that your unique needs and goals are understood. After this personalized
assessment, a gentle numbing cream is applied to ensure you are comfortable
during the procedure. Our nurse then administers targeted injections based
on the discussed areas—whether it’s enhancing volume, smoothing
wrinkles, or contouring. Each injection is carefully placed for optimal
results. The entire process typically takes between fifteen to sixty minutes,
depending on the treatment scope. Following the injections, we guide you
on facial massage techniques to optimize results and promote even distribution
of the treatment. Remember, your rejuvenation journey is unique, and our
team is committed to achieving natural, beautiful outcomes tailored to you.
What to know before
Avoid blood thinning agents such as fish oil, ibuprofen, alcohol, etc.
for 7-10 days prior to treatment. Tylenol is okay. Avoid immunizations
for one month before and one month after treatment. Avoid dental procedures,
even routine cleanings, for one month before and after treatment.
What to know after
After receiving Sculptra injections, follow these guidelines for optimal results:
-
Gentle Massage:To ensure even distribution, gently massage the treated area. Remember
the “5-5-5” rule: massage the injected area for 5 minutes,
5 times a day, for 5 consecutive days.
-
Immediate Return to Normal Activities: You can resume your regular activities immediately after the procedure.
Sculptra injections typically have minimal downtime.
-
Expected Side Effects:Some tenderness, redness, and swelling at the injection sites are normal.
These symptoms usually subside within two to seven days.
-
Temporary Plumping:Don’t be alarmed if you notice slight plumping in the treated areas.
This effect is expected and will diminish within a few days.
-
Gradual Results:Be patient—the final results will gradually become visible over the
course of a few weeks. Sometimes, multiple sessions (two or three) spaced
a few months apart are necessary for desired outcomes. After achieving
your goals, annual maintenance treatments can help maintain the results.
Remember to follow your nurse injector’s instructions and enjoy the
natural, subtle enhancements Sculptra provides.

Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers are a type of cosmetic injection that are FDA-approved to
smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, add volume and restore
structure.
Platelet Rich Plasma treatments
Plasma contains high concentrations of stem cells, platelets and growth
factors that help to stimulate collagen and elastin production. That’s
why Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments can produce such phenomenal results!
Each treatment begins by having a small amount of your blood taken from
your arm, similar to what's drawn for a blood test. This is then placed
into a centrifuge that will spin and separate the platelet-rich plasma
from the blood cells. The plasma will be used to complete the treatment.
