Understanding Cancer is a survivorship lecture series offered at no charge to patients, family members and anyone interested in learning more about cancer and cancer treatment.
The series begins with Chemotherapy's Impact: How It Affects Your Body and Mind. Please join oncologist Anne Silva-Benedict, MD, and psychologist Deb Viner, PsyD, for an informative talk about cancer and chemotherapy. Dr. Silva-Benedict will discuss long- and short-term physical effects, such as bone issues, chemo brain and fatigue. Deb Viner will explore how cancer and treatment can affect the mind and emotions. Following the presentation, there will be time for questions and answers.
