Philosophy of care
Each patient deserves compassionate care that is focused on their goals. I strive to ensure each patient understands their situation. We then work collaboratively with the treatment team to meet their goals.

Why Cheryl went into Medicine
As far back as I can remember, I have always wanted a role in improving the lives of others. Speech pathology focuses on swallow function, communication and cognitive skills, all of which are vital to quality of life. In graduate school, I was drawn to the medical aspect of the profession, as it is the perfect combination of service and science.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to live music, watching documentaries, cooking and traveling.
