Philosophy of care
I think it is important to collaborate with the patient to achieve their goals and return to function or sport. Including the patient in their care is optimal for full recovery and prevention of re-injury.
Why Jessica went into therapy
Sports and physical activity have always been an important part of my life. I had minor injuries in sports growing up and had success in physical therapy. I enjoy the variety of patients you get to work with, and the positive influence you can make in their lives. Physical therapy is very rewarding and a great platform to promote fitness and a healthy, active lifestyle.
Favorite advice to give patients
When you have pain, exercise may feel like the last thing you want to do. I want to work with my patients to find movement that helps their body and feels good. Finding exercises that you enjoy and benefit you are critical in achieving your goals.
