General Surgery - Trauma Critical Care
Position Description
Join a fantastic hospital-based practice that serves a population of 500,000 with a high demand of trauma/acute care/emergency general surgery patients. There is also potential for a robust elective general surgery practice including two Da Vinci Xi robots. This surgery team consists of skilled, well-respected and seasoned surgeons and physician assistants. Enjoy a collegial atmosphere at this American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma verified Level 2 Trauma Center, with on-site subspecialty care. Plenty of opportunity to grow your elective practice with a large hospital-employed team of referring providers and adequate operative time both in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Trauma Call is dedicated to a single hospital and shared between 7 surgeons. Potential for critical care coverage to be shared with other intensivists. Convenient access to hospital, clinic and outpatient surgery center which are all on campus and connected via skywalk.
This opportunity is open to a board-certified/board-eligible surgeon with fellowship training in surgical critical care. Compensation and incentive package is very competitive, comprehensive benefits including a relocation stipend. Leadership opportunities exist for interested candidates.
