Aspirus St. Luke's Laurentian Medical Clinic Recognized for Quality Laboratory Services
St. Luke’s Laurentian Medical Clinic has been recognized for providing high-quality laboratory services.
The lab has met all criteria for Laboratory Accreditation by COLA, a national healthcare accreditation organization. The non-profit organization is physician-directed, promoting quality and excellence in medicine and patient care through programs of voluntary education, achievement and accreditation.
Accreditation is given only to labs that apply rigid standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing and pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey.
“We take pride in offering great lab services to our patients,” said St. Luke’s Laurentian Medical Clinic Manager Todd Scaia. “It’s another way we strive to have a positive impact on patient care.”
COLA is approved by the federal government and sponsored by the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine.
