Aspirus St. Luke's to be Honored by the American Heart Association for Heart and Stroke Care

WHAT: St. Luke’s will be honored with American Heart Association (AHA) awards during a presentation and luncheon on Wednesday, November 1, at 11 a.m. in the Main Lobby of St. Luke’s Hospital. St. Luke’s will be honored for earning a Get With The Guidelines Stroke – GOLD PLUS achievement award, a Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center – GOLD award for cardiac care and a Mission: Lifeline NSTEMI – SILVER achievement award.
This is the fourth consecutive year the AHA has recognized St. Luke’s for meeting specific quality improvement measures for the treatment of patients who suffer severe heart attacks. In 2014, St. Luke’s received a SILVER award and then a GOLD award in 2015. In 2016, St. Luke’s received a Mission: Lifeline® GOLD PLUS Receiving Quality Achievement Award for heart attacks. The award ensures patients are receiving care consistent with the latest scientific guidelines.
