Aspirus St. Luke's P.S. Rudie Medical Clinic Hosts Laughter Yoga
Laughter is the best medicine and St. Luke’s is serving up a dose at its next community well-being series at its P.S. Rudie Medical Clinic. The clinic is hosting Laughter Yoga from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, September 21.
Laughter yoga is a practice involving prolonged voluntary laughter and is based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides the same physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter. Laughter yoga will be conducted in a group session with eye contact and playfulness between participants. Forced laughter turns into real and contagious laughter. Laughter yoga brings more oxygen to the brain and body by incorporating yogic breathing, which results in deep diaphragmatic breathing.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this free educational event. It’s part of a monthly series funded by St. Luke’s Foundation that rotates between St. Luke’s primary care clinics. Wear comfortable clothing. There is no need for exercise equipment or workout clothes. For more information call 218.249.6800.
