Aspirus St. Luke's Social Worker Tina Roberts Honored with 2018 Lane Adams Quality of Life Award
St. Luke’s is excited to announce that St. Luke’s Regional Cancer Center, Social Worker Tina Roberts was honored with an award from the American Cancer Society (ACS). Roberts was one of six award recipients from across the United States of the 2018 Lane Adams Quality of Life Award.
Roberts was nominated by Pam Mason, Health Systems Manager, Hospitals, Midwest Division of ACS. Letters of support were submitted by Dr. Basem Goueli, Director, St. Luke’s Regional Cancer Center; Kim Lagro, a St. Luke’s employee and friend who has worked with Roberts; a patient’s family member; and Toby Sillanpa, ACS Patient Navigator.
The American Cancer Society Lane Adams Quality of Life Award is presented to those unique caregivers who lead in their areas of expertise and make a significant impact on patients, families and communities. The award is named for Lane W. Adams, former ACS executive vice president, whose definition of the warm hand of service was “to serve others and enrich the purpose of one’s existence.”
Roberts accepted the award recently at a ceremony in Dallas, Texas.
