Aspirus St. Luke's Welcomes New Board Members Dr. Mitch Cardwell, Rene Settergren & Dr. Nyasha Spears
St. Luke’s is pleased to welcome St. Luke’s Physician Dr. Mitch Cardwell, Rene Settergren, M.S., and St. Luke’s Physician Dr. Nyasha Spears to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Cardwell is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He has been in the family medicine field for nearly 30 years, and has been with St. Luke’s Hibbing Family Medical Clinic for two decades.
Rene Settergren, M.S., recently retired from AMSOIL INC. as vice president of human resources. Settergren has also served as a volunteer with the Youth Sponsor program in Ely, as a Girl Scout leader in Ely and Cloquet, and as a member of Wolf Ridge ELC’s board of directors.
Dr. Spears has been a family medicine physician with St. Luke’s for 16 years. She practices family medicine at St. Luke’s P.S. Rudie Medical Clinic in Duluth. She has also held leadership roles as department chief of obstetrics at Memorial Medical Center in Ashland and with Healthcare Providers for a Healthy Climate.
