Aspirus St. Luke's Welcomes Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Takeshi Onizuka
St. Luke’s is pleased to welcome Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Takeshi Onizuka.
Dr. Onizuka earned his medical degree from Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He also earned fellowships for cardiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart intervention and internal medicine at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Plus, he had fellowships for interventional cardiology, research and cardiology at Keio University in Tokyo, Japan. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
His areas of interest include myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, valvular and structural heart disease, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVAR).
