“We have happy patients and happy employees,” said St. Luke’s General Surgery Physician Assistant Katie Sorenson, PA-C. “That’s why I chose to work here. It’s a great community.”

In her role, Katie cares for patients alongside St. Luke’s team of general surgeons with several other PA-Cs. She assists in the operating room, rounds in the hospital, and follows-up with patients in the clinic. “I love the variety,” she said. “No day is ever the same.”

Another aspect of work she appreciates is the heart of her colleagues. “I can truly say that each member of our team puts the patient first, no doubt,” she said. “They really care for our patients and always have their best interest in mind. That’s exactly how it should be.”
