Mary, Nursing Assistant, Surgical & Procedural Care
“I’ve been here for 48 years,” said Mary, Nursing Assistant at St. Luke’s Surgical & Procedural Care. “That’s a long time! But I love it. St. Luke’s is a people place. We care about each other and our patients. You’re not just a number at St. Luke’s. You’re a human being.”
Mary’s main role is to take care of patients and help them get ready for surgery. She enjoys doing whatever she can to make them more comfortable.
“Most people are nervous before surgery, which is totally understandable,” she said. “I’ve found that just listening to them works wonders. Also, the power of touch is huge. People need to know that you care about them – which I do!”
Thank you, Mary, for compassionately caring for our patients!
