“There’s never a dull moment at St. Luke’s,” said LeeAnn, St. Luke’s Manager of Hospitality Services. “Every day is different. This kind of an environment really motivates to me.”

Over the years, LeeAnn has had lots of opportunities to grow and try new things. She started as a kitchen supervisor 26 years ago. Since then her role has expanded. She now helps lead food service, housekeeping and laundry.

One of the best parts of her job is working with local vendors. Thanks to LeeAnn, St Luke’s Blue Waves Café offers items from many businesses, including Northern Waters Smokehaus, Positively 3rd Street Bakery, Big Apple Bagels, Duluth’s Best Bread and more. “Buying locally supports our community, which is so important,” she said. “It also means we know exactly where our food is coming from.”
