Philosophy of care
Therapy is one piece of the puzzle that can improve a patient’s function and allow them to move more easily. I like to empower patients to manage symptoms better on their own. I believe in a team-based approach to providing individualized care, making sure treatment is specifically geared to each person’s goals.
Why Marissa went into therapy
I first became interested in sports medicine as a high school athlete. After job shadowing, I loved the diverse settings within the physical therapy field. There is so much variety in where we can work and who we can work with!
Favorite advice to give patients
Healing takes time and many factors play into how you are feeling. Small changes in our daily habits and routine can go a long way.
