Philosophy of care
I believe that collaboration and teamwork between patients, families and their care team is key. My role as an occupational therapist is to join people in their journey to recovery so that they can reach their personal goals through education, skill training and physical performance training. If someone wants to work toward a goal, then I want to do my best to get them there.
Why Scott went into therapy
I enjoy the opportunity to help people regain independence with meaningful daily activities. I also appreciate how every person’s situation is different, allowing me to be creative in solving problems with them.
Favorite advice to give to patients
I often encourage my patients to ask questions. I tell them that their care team is here to help and have a lot of good information to help you better understand what you are experiencing and how to move forward to reach your goals.
