Philosophy of care
I strive to provide excellent care by working with people collaboratively to help them achieve wellness through medicine and a healthy lifestyle.
Why Sierra went into medicine
I started at Aspirus St. Luke's in cardiac diagnostics and cardiopulmonary rehab as an exercise physiologist. I thoroughly enjoyed working with this population and helping people achieve their heart health goals. Through those experiences, I was inspired to pursue becoming a physician assistant, afterward working in both Cardiology and Physical Medicine and Rehab. I chose to transition to General Surgery to have a more hands-on approach in helping people feel better.
Favorite advice to give patients
Exercise and a healthy lifestyle can help you feel well throughout all stages of life. I know change can be hard, so be kind to yourself and take small steps in the right direction that will help you achieve your health goals.

Hobbies
The Northland is a wonderful place to explore with my family and friends. I am an avid gardener in the summer. I grow veggies, berries and flowers. Once the snow flies, I cross-country ski and compete in skijor racing with my dogs.
