What cardiac diagnostic tests does St. Luke’s do?

We use the latest technology to investigate any concerns you may have regarding your heart health. These tests include:

• Echocardiogram: Using ultrasound to create images of the heart, assessing structure and function
• Electrocardiogram (EKG): Recording the heart's electrical activity to identify irregularities
• Holter and event monitoring: Recording heart activity to detect irregularities
• Nuclear cardiology: Using radioactive tracers to image blood flow to the heart
• CT Scans: Using X-rays to create detailed, cross-sectional images
• Stress testing: Monitoring heart function during exercise to identify abnormalities

Will I have to do anything to get ready?

Your healthcare provider will let you know if you need to do anything to prepare for your scheduled test.
